Dragon Destiny follows the same premise of the original
series where students from rival schools battle each other with martial
arts; one of the motivations being that some are possessed by the
powerful spirits of warriors from the Three Kingdoms era of ancient
China.
Many of the girls from the last series make a return, such
as Sonsaku Hakufu and Ryomou Shimei. But the main character
this time around is a shy bookworm by the name of Ryuubi Gentoku.
Like Sonsaku, she is also said to possess the power
of one of the powerful dragons inside. However, unlike Sonsaku, Ryuubi
isn't a fighter. Nevertheless, she still has a destiny to
fulfill and will be dragged into the battle whether she likes it or not.
